By sea is the most fascinating way to move and admire the five villages and the spectacular terraced mountains behind them. There is a ferry every hour and the costs vary from 7 euro for Vernazza-Monterosso to 13 euro for Vernazza-Riomaggiore. For those who spend more than three days in Vernazza we recommend a visit to Portovenere. The ferries don't stop in Corniglia, the only village to be completely on the hill and not at sea level. At the Vernazza pier it is possible to rent small boats for personalized tours.
